We’ve had to make some changes to the global Zoom settings with the recent zoombombings and client security issues.

Two years ago the decision was made to disable the web client as a means to prevent zoom trolls from popping in and harassing our contributors. This has protected us well – However, with the various security issues that have been brought to light with the zoom client, it’s made both business and contributors uncomfortable with having it installed.
We’ve re-enabled the web-client, but with a caveat; attendees must sign in with a Zoom account. This should prevent the vast majority of drive-by trolling attempts.
Please update your meeting agendas with an additional web-client friendly link:
https://zoom.us/s/<zoom meeting id>https://zoom.us/wc/<zoom meeting id>/startFor best practices regarding dealing with potential trolls, we have some well documented processes in our zoom guidelines.

Hey there all,
In the last email sent out about the Zoom Setting changes a web client URL was included. That URL -only- works if you’re logged in already. The correct URL which will prompt you to login is listed below:
Regular: https://zoom.us/s/<zoom meeting id>
Web Client: https://zoom.us/wc/join/<zoom meeting id>
If you use the Regular meeting link there will be "join from your browser" link towards the bottom that can be used as well.
