Hello Colleen,

I have been waiting to hear back from you since your last email regards my CoC violation reports. This matter is urgent as it confirms to everyone in the community about the double standard we have all witnessed during this event from CNCF.

I wanted to add more context since I submitted a CoC violation that assures my view. The online harassment from CNCF Israeli community never stopped since organizers preferred to cancel the event they asked me to organize for the sake of the Israeli community's happiness. They are actually very proud of CNCF standing beside them, writing blogs about how the event was successful, and mentioning me for more photos showing off the other booths with Israeli flags(attached). They are making fun of a city that is being under attack as we speak.

I had to defend myself for a hell of a week now, and you all keep watching in silence against what I'm facing. Where is your allegation about community first? where are your talks about D&I? I need this to stop right now. I cannot live under this pressure. You are responsible for protecting my work and personal life.

How didn't CNCF and Linux Foundation take any immediate action to stop that? You all know that if you even warn these members to stop harassing me, they will do. Is that so hard? All I am asking for is justice.

Hello Heba,

The CNCF Code of Conduct Committee asked me to provide you with an update regarding the display by vendors of flags in their booths on the Sponsor Solutions showcase floor. The committee members did a walkthrough of the showcase floor to evaluate the situation, and they understand why the flags would cause you and others to feel uncomfortable.

Therefore, the Committee is collaborating with the LF Events team on possible changes to the booth sponsorship guidelines and/or LF Events Code of Conduct for future events to disallow displays of political content that are likely to make individuals or groups of people feel uncomfortable.

With regard to whether any actions need to be taken with regard to display of flags by vendors at the recent KubeCon event that just ended, this is still being discussed by the Committee.

Regards,

Colleen
