Open Call for New Membership Coordinators

Hi SIG Contribex,

New Membership Coordinators (NMCs) are the friendly faces that help prospective new community members with their first step on the contributor ladder. They also have approval privileges for adding new members to the GitHub config.

The existing NMCs are now involved in various other parts of the project, so we want to bring fresh faces to this team. With that, we are opening up applications for new NMCs.

Thank you, Nabarun, Arnaud and Savitha for your service in this role and helping automate most of the manual toil.

Who is eligible to apply as a NMC?

• Must be an active Kubernetes or Kubernetes SIGs GitHub org member

• Must be familiar with the Community Membership Guidelines and the New Membership Procedure.

• Skills Required

• Detail oriented

• Responsive to picking up requests

• Friendly and welcoming to prospective members

Time Commitment

30 minutes a couple of times a week to review the issue queue in kubernetes/org and pick up requests to process.
