Enthusiastic to Contribute to Kubernetes Project

Hello!

My name is Evelyn Liu, I'm currently a Master of Computer Science student at Rice University. 

With a strong passion for cloud computing and related technologies, I have been actively seeking opportunities to engage and contribute to meaningful open-source projects. After exploring various open-source projects, I'm impressed by the active community around Kubernetes and believe it’s the perfect place for me to start contributing.

As I am keen to get started, I sincerely appreciate any guidance on how to begin contributing to Kubernetes. Could you please advise on the initial steps I should take? Also, I'd like to join the Kubernetes Slack group to engage more closely with the community.

(This mailing list is the “cloud provider” one, but you will find that there are many “special interest group” choices in the broader Kubernetes project, and “contribx” is the one focused on contributor experience.)
