Hey all,
We’ve been discussing these changes for a while now and
we are finally ready to share them with the entire community
and especially with fellow SIG-CLI members. Starting from
now on we’d like to introduce the following changes to how our
meetings are held and how our focus is driven.
Starting from the next SIG-CLI meeting we will be checking
the agenda 24h prior to holding the meeting and if the agenda
is empty we will cancel the call. For example, our next call is
planned for May 5th, which means that the deadline for submitting
topics for that meeting is on May 4th at 6pm CET / 12pm EDT / 9am PST,
ie. the usual time our bi-weekly calls happen.
We will be shifting the focus during our bi-weekly calls and during
bug scrubs towards the most active issues. Activity will be measured
through the amount of comments and upvotes. We’re hoping that this
change will allow us to impact a greater number of end users.
Bugs will always take precedence over feature requests. Feature
requests, similarly to bugs, will be looked at based on the number
of comments and upvotes.
For the 1.22 release we’re proposing to hold one of our two bi-weekly
meetings in an APAC-friendly time zone, if there are contributors
interested in having such a call. If you’re interested please respond
to this email stating so, and we’ll pick an appropriate time to
accommodate such a request.
