Hey,
On behalf of SIG CLI leadership (Eddie, Sean, Phil and myself)
we're proposing the following changes to SIG CLI leadership:
1. We are nominating Katrina Verey as the new SIG CLI chair and
tech lead - effective immediately.
2. Philip Wittrock steps down from his SIG CLI tech lead role - effective
immediately.
3. Maciej Szulik steps down from his SIG CLI chair role - effective
01.01.2022, still maintaining SIG CLI tech lead role.
Katrina is the driving force behind our monthly kustomize bug scrubs.
She's actively helping with multiple efforts in SIG CLI, including presenting
at past and upcoming KubeCon. She proved to be a valuable and
mindful maintainer for both kustomize and kubectl always ensuring that
users' good is the top priority.
Phil was one of the founding members of SIG CLI back in 2016. Since
then he has wear many hats always promoting kubectl and innovating
in that area. He was (and still is) my personal mentor and inspiration,
both during the early days when I joined SIG CLI and every time we
get a chance to meet in person throwing thousands of ideas for improvement
in many areas. Thank you very much Phil!
As for me, I started my chair journey back at the beginning of 2018, so
it's about time someone fresh takes over that part ;-) It's been a wild
ride, with all the folks gathered around SIG CLI we've achieved multiple
efforts. Thank you all! Most importantly I'm not going anywhere, I'll
continue to help with technical direction with the SIG.
