Hey folks,

We've talked for a few weeks in the past about the possibility of moving the SIG Autoscaling meeting time to a different timeslot since the current time is pretty tough to make for those of us that live on the West Coast in the US (ends up being weekly at 7am).

The AI from the last meeting was to make a poll to get a pulse on what times work best for everyone to attend. Knowing that we have Europe and NA folks on the call generally, I mainly added times in the West Coast morning (15:00 UTC - 18:00 UTC). You can access the Doodle poll below.

I also added a separate Google form for getting a pulse on whether we should keep a consistent meeting time or consider splitting off to two different meeting times to be more friendly to folks in eastern Europe and AMEA.

Just so everyone is aware, here's the well-known set of conflicts for SIG meetings or WG that I could imagine folks in this forum may attend (something to keep in mind during voting).

WG Node Lifecycle
- Mondays at 15:00 UTC/8:00am PT
WG Device Management
- Tuesdays at 15:30 UTC/8:30am PT
SIG Cluster Lifecycle
- Tuesdays at 16:00 UTC/9:00am PT
SIG MultiCluster
- Tuesdays at 16:30 UTC/9:30am PT
SIG CloudProvider
- Wednesdays at 16:00 UTC/9:00am PT
SIG Node
- Wednesdays at 17:00 UTC/10:00am PT
SIG Scheduling
- Thursdays at 17:00 UTC/10:00am PST
SIG Scalability
- Thursdays at 17:30 UTC/10:30am PT

Please include any additional conflicts in this thread if you know of any that I didn't mention above.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thanks everyone who's responded up to this point! We discussed the progress we've made on this discussion in the SIG Autoscaling weekly meeting today.

The current plan is to wrap-up voting with a lazy consensus deadline of 7/28 so please make sure to get your responses in by then so we can capture it. We'll have the discussion again on 7/28 to settle-out the new time.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hey folks,

I was informed that the current Doodle Poll doesn't work for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for voting since the times in the poll have passed at this point. I have an updated Doodle Poll that uses next week for the dates/times: https://doodle.com/group-poll/participate/boXDmJKd. Don't worry about voting if you already have! We'll combine the results from both polls to get the final result.
