Dear Kubernetes Community,

Some of you may recall me discussing ideas around enhancing Kubernetes' support for dynamic batch workloads at KubeCon EU earlier this year. I'm excited to share a more concrete proposal that builds upon those initial concepts.

This proposal explores the introduction of dynamic container mutation and refinements to Kubernetes' scheduling and resource management. I aim to address the challenges faced by diverse batch applications, including those based on distributed frameworks, machine learning workloads, and data processing pipelines.

I believe these enhancements can lead to improved resource efficiency, simplified cluster management, and better performance for a broader range of batch applications on Kubernetes. I look forward to discussing this proposal with the community and collaborating on potential implementation paths.

Thank you,

Dawn
