Hello SIG Testing!
As discussed in today's zoom meeting and in #sig-testing slack: I'm hoping we can try some more async discussion similar to the approach being trialed in SIG Contributor Experience right now, with the goal to be more inclusive about decision making discussion in particular.
Currently all of this *should* be biasing towards the mailing-list, but I think historically some of this has depended on the video meetings as well.
Slack is still suitable for real time casual conversation, debugging, handling infra outages, etc., but for archivable discussions I think we should try github's
discussion feature (similar to issues), which should also be more discoverable (e.g. "
watch" the repo) and time zone friendly for less casual topics.
The mailinglists (not just our own!) should also still be used to notify of topics for broad input, and sharing access to documents.
We can experiment with this, and continue to use the Zoom meetings for office hours + socializing, similar to SIG Contributor Experience's trial.
The request is here:

Thanks!
