I'm a part of the SIG Contribex Comms subproject, and one of the things we do is to make the work of contributors more visible to other contributors, and the k8s community at large. A relevant part of this is the "Spotlight" series, in which we interview leads/chairs to provide additional exposure to their work, and I wanted to know if the SRC is interested in having such a spotlight article done.
Some examples for reference:
*
https://kubernetes.io/blog/2024/08/07/sig-api-machinery-spotlight-2024/*
https://www.kubernetes.dev/blog/2024/06/20/sig-node-spotlight-2024/*
https://kubernetes.io/blog/2025/01/21/sig-architecture-enhancements/They are usually published on both
kubernetes.dev and
kubernetes.io, given their scope. The process itself is very simple:
1. If there's interest, I share an initial doc with some questions.
2. Those that are up to it reply (it can be one person, or a group, in which case answers can be individual or for the entire group) by writing there.
3. I create the markdown and start the publication process
The time investment is not that big, as mentioned it's the necessary to reply to some questions, and possible follow-ups.
If there is any interest from the Leads/Chairs/etc in this, I'm more than happy to start a conversation, either here on in the Kubernetes Slack (@fsmunoz).
All the best,
