## This email is intended for individuals who are points of contact for CNA coordination for your OSS project. I would appreciate if you could forward this email to the responsible individuals in your organization, as appropriate ##
Dear OSS Maintainers
I hope you are doing well.
The Red Hat Root established an open source software working group as concurred by the CVE Program Board. The idea of bringing Open Source Software CNA’s together is to share experiences, discuss challenges, and provide valuable feedback across the vulnerability ecosystem or the CVE program. A few months ago, we formed an initial small group with linux distros and other OSS CNA’s (kernel.org, Curl and Python) participating in this format. Our group meets monthly to share insights and help improve the program for all participants.
We are now moving to the next stage expanding this working group and are requesting you to join this OSS CNA Working group. By participating, your project will have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with peer OSS CNA’s to share insights and best practices for performing vulnerability management
Provide feedback to help refine and improve the CVE Program which is a foundation for overall vulnerability ecosystem
Stay informed about key developments and updates related to the program that impacts OSS community
Provide a wider OSS voice on issues affecting project / communities that are not well understood
Your input would be invaluable to this initiative, and we would love to have you as part of these discussions. Please let us know if you are interested in joining, and I will send you the meeting invite.
Looking forward to your engagement and collaboration with wider community peers.
