1.21 Enhancements Freeze in Effect / Upcoming Key Dates

Hi, Kubernetes community!

Enhancements Freeze began EOD yesterday, Tuesday Feb 9th. 

Enhancements team is currently tracking 64 Enhancements for 1.21. We had 74 Enhancements opt-in for the release and 10 Enhancements were removed from the milestone after the freeze due to missing KEP requirements. Out of 10 Enhancements that were removed, 3 have already filed an exception request.

With the freeze in effect, SIG Leads no longer have write access to the tracking sheet. Any KEPs that wish to join the 1.21 release must now have an approved Exception. Once approved, Enhancements will be entered into the tracking sheet by the Enhancements team. If you plan to submit an Exception request, please submit it as soon as possible.

For those with accepted Enhancements, please continue linking all k/k and k/website PRs to your k/enhancements tracking issue.

• Monday, March 1st: Week 8 - Feature Blog Opt-in deadline[*]

• Tuesday, March 9th: Week 9 - Code Freeze

• Tuesday, March 16th: Week 10 - Docs Placeholder PR deadline
