[Announcement] Code of Conduct Committee Nomination Period is Open

Hi Kubernetes community,

We're pleased to announce that we are now accepting nominations for Code of Conduct Committee members searching for candidates with a passion for serving the Kubernetes community. There are 3 seats[1] that open for a 2 year term from August 7, 2020 to August 7, 2022.

Please refer to the Code of Conduct Committee charter[2] along with the bootstrapoing documents[3]  to learn more about how the committee functions.

Are you interested in serving the Kubernetes community or know someone that would be a great candidate?

All nominations must be submitted via this form and nominees must meet the eligibility for candidacy guidelines. 

More details on the election process can be found in this this document.

The following are important dates in this process:

July 21 - Nominations open

July 28 - Nominations close

July 29 - Steering to vet nominees

August 4 - Steering to conduct elections

August 6 - New members notified

August 7 - Induct new members

Reminder: last call to nominate a peer or yourself for Code of Conduct Committee. We’ve had six unique nominations to date - thank you to folks coming forward! We’ll close tomorrow at 11:59pm PDT Tuesday / 6:59am UTC Wednesday and begin the vetting process. Keep those nominations rolling in the meantime.
