How to enable Flannel portmap plugin

Hello,
I've setup a cluster with kubeadm (1.8.2) by following this guide. https://kubernetes.io/docs/setup/independent/create-cluster-kubeadm/
I've tried to enable Flannel portmap plugin by adding /etc/cni/net.d/10-flannel.conflist file but no effect. How should I enable portmap plugin to get hostPort working?
Any help much appreciated,
