Kubernetes v1.21.2 has been built and pushed using Golang version 1.16.5.

The release notes have been updated in CHANGELOG-1.21.md, with a pointer to them on GitHub:

Users who rely on nested folder for the coredns image should set the "clusterConfiguration.dns.imageRepository" value including the nested path name (e.g using "registry.company.xyz/coredns" will force kubeadm to use "registry.company.xyz/coredns/coredns" image).
