[RELEASE] KF 1.6 Release Delayed

Hi Kubeflow community!

Thank you everyone for providing valuable feedback after testing the 1.6 RCs. Based on your feedback, one issue has been identified as release-blocking - Notebook only shows one image group. Other issues identified so far have been labeled as non-release-blocking issues; details can be found in the distribution tracking issue.

Therefore, we will delay the release until the release-blocking issue is resolved. I have created a pull request to propose a new release timeline as follows

• Wednesday, Aug 31st 2022: Week 25 - Distribution Testing Ends
• Wednesday, Aug 31st 2022: Week 25 - Docs Update Ends
• Wednesday, Sep 7th 2022: Week 26 - Kubeflow v1.6 Released

If you have any concerns with the new release timeline, please provide feedback by Aug 17th.

In the meantime, please continue testing and providing any issues you have identified with the release. We're tracking issues in both the 1.6 release tracking issue and the 1.6 distribution tracking issue. At this point, we will only accept changes for release-blocking issues.
