[KSC Election 25] - Kubeflow KSC Election Process will begin on 13 October 2025

Hi all,

Exciting news! We will kick off the Kubeflow Steering Committee (KSC) Elections Process on 13 October 2025.

Amber Graner and David Simmons will be the election officials for this election.  

The KSC is made up of 5 members.  For the 2025 KSC Steering Committee Election you will be voting on 3 of those seats.

The timeline will be as follows:

Election Timeline

* Exceptions Phase: 13 October 2025 at 0900 Pacific Time (Starts) - 19 October 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time (Ends)
* Nominations Phase: 20 October 2025 at 0900 Pacific Time (Starts) - 2 November 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time (Ends)
* Testimonial Phase: 3 November 2025 at 0900 Pacific Time (Starts) - 16 November 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time (Ends)
* Voting Phase: 17 November 2025 at 0900 Pacific Time (Starts) - 14 December 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time (Ends)

Nomination Qualifications

Nomination qualifications: A nominee should be an active member in the Kubeflow Community and have a minimum of 50 contributions to the Kubeflow project in the last year,* have the available bandwidth to be invested in the KSC, and be able to operate neutrally in discussions regardless of company or project affiliation. If you believe you are eligible, but are not listed as eligible you may file an exception**. (Election officers are ineligible to run in an election, but can vote.) Eligibility List will be made available 13 October 2025.  

*For this election the last year is from 12 October 2024 to 12 October 2025. 

**You can not file an exception until that phase starts. Link will be sent to the mailing list and updated in Github at that time. (13 October 2025)

Voting Qualifications

Qualified members are those Kubeflow Community Members who have a minimum of 50 contributions in the last year from the start of the election process. As noted above, for this election the last year is from 12 October 2024 to 12 October 2025. If you believe you should be able to vote but aren't on the list, you can file an exception*.

We'll update the elections folder and send out more details about each phase of the election process before 13 October 2025.

Please note: If there is anyone else who would like to help with this election, please let us know as we would like to teach more people how to run these elections. If you help with the elections as an election officer you can NOT run for KSC Seats.
