Dear Kubeflow Community,

As we look forward to another year of growth and innovation, I am excited to announce that Kubeflow is preparing its application for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026. Our journey through 2024 and 2025 was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible dedication of our mentors. Our past GSoC cohorts have directly improved the platform for thousands of users worldwide.

Open source thrives when we share our knowledge. Mentoring is one of the most effective ways to ensure the longevity of our project while helping new developers find their footing in the cloud-native ecosystem. By guiding a contributor, you aren't just helping with code; you are expanding the Kubeflow family and fostering a culture of collaborative problem-solving. Whether you have mentored before or are looking to start for the first time, your perspective is vital to our community's adoption and health.

Call to Action: We need your project proposals to make our organization application as strong as possible. Please submit your project ideas and sign up as a mentor by February 3rd.
