UI Architecture Guidelines at Kubeflow Community Call

Hi everyone,

My name is Eder, and I'm on the team contributing to Model Registry UI and Notebooks 2.0 UI. 

Recently, we've been discussing best practices and guidelines for new UI projects in the Kubeflow community, and I'm planning to give a brief presentation at tomorrow's community call about our proposal.

If you are interested in front-end development and the user interfaces of the Kubeflow ecosystem, please join us! We would love your feedback!

Hi, everyone; thank you so much for attending the call today.

Here are the slides with the guidelines that I've proposed and some action items:

• (DONE) Propose a baseline for new Kubeflow UI projects
• (DONE) Verify architectural guidelines proposal for new projects with the Steering Committee and community (slides)
• (WIP) Map current technology status of Kubeflow UIs (proposal)
• (WIP - Eder) Work in progress document with an extended version of the presentation and publish it as a GitHub issue
• (TODO) Action plan to update existing project libraries
• (WIP) Establish Kubeflow UI Design Language (Stefano's proposal)
• (WIP - Red Hat UX team) Map inconsistencies in current projects (audit)
• (TODO) Action plan to address inconsistency across current projects
• (Done) Confirm upstream architecture for Model Registry and Notebook 2.0 UIs
• Develop starting by Red Hat UI engineers (but open for all community members)
  
• BFF in Golang, React, and React Patternfly as a component library (consistent with Kubeflow  UI Design Language)
