📣 Kubebuilder v4.11.0 is out! 🎉

🔑 Key changes to be aware of

• 🤖 AI-friendly scaffolds: Newly scaffolded projects now include AGENTS.md to guide AI assistants on how to work with your repo and Kubebuilder workflows. (Example)
• 🤖 Migrations got a big upgrade: The migration guide was refreshed with new options to keep projects in sync with ecosystem changes. It also covers manual upgrades from any version → latest, and includes AI migration helpers/commands for older scaffolds where manual steps are still required.
• 🧰 Helm Charts plugin — significant improvements: Based on community feedback. If you distribute via Helm, please review the release notes.
• ⚠️ controller-runtime v0.23.0 — scaffolds now align with v0.23.0 (breaking changes): Please review the release notes.

💡 We recommend trying AutoUpdate and/or using kubebuilder alpha update (same logic used by AutoUpdate, but locally) to keep your scaffold current with low effort while preserving your customisations. If your PROJECT file doesn’t include cliVersion, you’ll likely need a one-time manual upgrade to reach a supported baseline—then you can rely on automated workflows going forward.
