Future of kube-bind: Re-engaging Our Maintainer Team

Hi kube-bind Maintainers,

First and foremost, thank you for all your past and present contributions that have made kube-bind what it is today.

As you may have noticed, there is growing interest in cross-cluster KRM service provider relationships, and kube-bind is seeing renewed momentum. To support this, we are revitalizing the project's development and maturing our governance model to better align with CNCF standards. This will include introducing a security advisory process and establishing regular community meetings in the near future.

As a crucial part of this refresh, we want to ensure our list of active maintainers accurately reflects those who have the time and interest to be involved in the project's next chapter. We completely understand that priorities change and life can get in the way.

With that in mind, we kindly ask you to confirm if you wish to continue as an active maintainer. A simple reply to this email letting us know you're still engaged is all that's needed, or let us know otherwise.

Please let us know your intentions within the next two weeks, by Tuesday, September 30th, 2025.

If you wish to continue to be an active maintainer and further contribute to kube-bind, responding to this thread will help us with planning the upcoming work. If you are no longer able to dedicate your time to kube-bind we understand and would like to kindly ask you to consider transitioning to the ‘Emeritus Maintainer’ role as per our governance guide by sending a quick resignation email to the mailing list or this thread.

We're excited about the future of kube-bind and hope to have you with us on this journey.
