Dear Friends,
Imagine being a part of a beautiful, synchronous dance with over a 100 other people! It's okay if you don't know how to do Dandiya Raas, many of us don't either!
Cultural India Club at KU would like to invite you in one the biggest nights this semester -DANDIYA! Dandiya is a traditional folk dance performed during Navratri from the heart of India, Gujrat and KUCIC invites you to be part of this celebration. There will be Dandiya sticks for you to borrow, so all you have to do is bring your friends along!
This is a great opportunity to dress in colorful traditional outfits, catch up with friends, eat good Indian food and have some great fun! There are exciting prizes for the best dressed and also best dancers at the event so don't forget your dancing shoes!
We will also have an open dance floor with music in the second half of the evening.
