KU-on campus accomodation

Dear all,

I am Purnendu, graduated with a Master of Science degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). Recently I have received an PhD-admission offer from University of Kansas. I found this community while I was searching for KU lifestyle. Nice to know such an organization there.

I am interested to stay on campus lodging options. Recently I am facing the problem to get proper accomodation 'on campus'. I have received the information from 'on campus hosing' that, "On campus apartment style living is currently full for the fall. The only on campus housing that has space at this time is the Residence Halls." It seems to me that Jayhawker Towers, Stouffer are not available. Are Residence Halls considered as dormitory? Is there any option with at least one personal room in any on-campus lodging?  I have certain limitation and uncomfortable situation as an international student. Please direct me and help me in this situation.
