Dhon Cholecha is a musical based on the playwright ‘Buddhimati Dhon Cholecha’ by Satyamohan Joshi. The play is a theatrical release of Shreeti Pradhan’s first EP Ujyalo Junkiri. The play is an outcome of independent efforts of the performing artists in collaboration with Shilpee Theater.

About the Writer: Satyamohan Joshi (born 1920) is a Nepali writer and scholar. His notable publications are Hamro Lok Sanskriti (Madan Puraskar 1956); Nepali Rastriya Mudra (Madan Puraskar 1960); Karnaliko Lok Sanskriti; Playwrights-Charumati, Sun Keshari, Mahipa: Lakhe, Bagh Bhairab.

About the Director: Student of Gurukul and director of Hechha Kupa drama, Pashupati Rai is a young theater actor who has played major roles in more than 15 drama productions, movies and short films. Ms. Rai has performed in many theater festivals around the world representing Nepal.

About the Music Director: Shreeti Pradhan is a singer/songwriter and a student of Music Therapy. She has performed/ directed music in various plays in the past which are Khariko Ghero (Aarohan Gurukul Production); Ah, Wilderness! (One World Theater Production); The Lion King, At the Rainbow’s End (School Drama Productions).
