DESCRIPTION: Over the past 3 years we have meticulously maintained our small, nimble and reliable Maruti Suzuki Gypsy 4x4. No expense was spared when it came to preventative maintenance on the key safety and reliability areas such and steering, brakes, suspension and the engine. We are reliably informed that it’s one of the best examples you can find in Kathmandu. Prior to us buying the vehicle, it was owned by similarly responsible owners.  We are very sad to see it go, but relocation overseas has forced this upon us. Our family have really enjoyed using this jeep to explore the Kathmandu Valley and beyond.  It is perfectly suited for getting around Kathmandu, some off-roading in the surrounding valley, and the occasional trip to Pokhara and Chitwan.  Service and maintenance is easy and very low-cost (parts imported from India).

 

KEY WORK WE HAVE OVERSEEN ON THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE LAST 2000 KMS (NOT EXHAUSTIVE) IS AS FOLLOWS:

 

- Full engine rebuild, including: carburettor, radiator, clutch and starter motor.

 

- Gearbox internal consumables replaced.

 

- Complete brake system overhaul.

 

- New steering box, shaft, track rods, tie rods ends and steering damper

 

- Four new main leaf springs and shock absorbers.

 

- A set of 5 road-biased tyres.

 

- New battery.

 

- An interior and exterior bare metal re-spray, including chassis, sills and under the vehicle.

 

- New 4x4 systems components including: 4x4 hubs and the three drive prop shafts.

 

WORK TO DO:

 

- A set of 5 wheel rims.

 

- Re-spray of bonnet (due to minor scratching).

 

- Fix choke.
