Public transport from Patan to Baluwatar, KTM

Does anyone know how to get from Patan/Jawalakhel to Baluwatar, KTM
via public transport without a transfer at Ratna Park? I do know of
the tempu that comes from Baluwatar to Patan Dhoka, Rs. 17 all the
way. Big bus, microbus or tempu are all fine--a route number might be
helpful too.

Even better, does anyone know of a source for a transit map or
schedule? I couldn't find anything on the web.

Dear Pam,

there is a big bus (quite comfortable compared to all the minivans)
with the No 23 (I believe) starting at Patan Dhoka (there is a big bus
park), leaving basically all 10min and goes right through town up to
the police headquarters in Tangal, that's about 3min walk to the old
Bhatbateni Supermarket.
On the way back though, the bus goes into the bus park (Ratna park)
and you can switch to the next leaving bus or stay in the bus and wait
for 10-20min until your bus proceeds.
At least that's how it worked about 1 year back!

The tempo goes directly from Mangal Bazr- Patan Durbar Square to Baluwatar- Nepal Rastra Bank. You can wait at Pulchwok but with a rare chance of getting the seat - depends what time.
