Hi Everyone,
We are Pushpa and Lisa and work as volunteers for a non-profit NGO which is called Hoste Hainse and based in Kathmandu. Our main purpose is to provide education to underprivileged children all over Nepal. For more background information about us please visit
wwww.hostehainse.org or our informal blog:
www.hostehainse.org/blog to see what we are up to!
The reason for this mail: Only five months ago we started a clothes
sale in front of our office where we sold used clothes, donated by Krishna Shah and his family, for Rs. 100 per piece as a fundraiser for our educational projects. In only seventeen clothes drives, which we use to hold every Friday in front of our office, we raised over NRs 58,0000.00! And 100% of this money is used for the good cause: Spreading high quality education to needy children across Nepal directly through our Hoste Hainse projects.
Please find a flyer of the Hoste Hainse garage sale attached to this mail - maybe for those of you who are tired reading through mails. The flyer could also be a good way to tell your friends about the clothes drive; please feel free to forward it to whoever may be interested.
Slowly we are running out of clothes to sell and decided to expand our clothes drive to a fully-blown garage sale where we could not only sellclothes but also shoes, other household items, little handicrafts or whatever waits in you cupboard to change its owner..
So, if you have anything of these you don't have use for anymore, would like to get rid of and donate it for a good cause - we would be grateful and happy to take and
sell it to support children in Nepal.
And don't worry about how to deliver your stuff - we have an electric car available and would come and pick it up at your home. Otherwise you are of course always welcome to visit us in our office and learn more about Hoste Hainse!
