Subarna Thapa, Nepali film director living in France, presents his long movie SOONGAVA- dance of the orchids.
With Nisha Adhikari & Diya Maskey.
Thursday 14th November @ 6pm
The first part will be dedicated to his latest short movie (2013): "Fils".
Both films are subtitled.

Entrance fees for the screening only: 500 Rs

A part of the amount will be donated to Heartbeat (Association for street children).

"Soongava" synopsis:
“Diya, aged 22, hopes to become a professional dancer, encouraged by her best friend Kiran.
Whilst her parents have promised her hand to a stranger, her friendship with Kiran develops into a love affair.
Transgressing local morals and tradition, Diya breaks off with her fiancé to live with her girlfriend.
But by living out their lifestyle in the light of day, the young women expose themselves to real danger…”

"Fils" synopsis:
"Son,
You were about three years old when I went to prison. Ever since, I've been watching you grow.
By taking part in your grandpa's cremation you respected your duty as a Man.
As a father, I still have things to transmit to you. Now I strongly wish you to be able one day to read this diary on your own."
