Play For Deprived Children Nepal (PDCN) is a Non Government Organization (NGO) registared under Nepal Government (Reg.No. 4203/072) and Social Welfare Council (Reg.No. 41805). PDCN uses sports and play to achieve educational and better health objective. PDCN is driven by athlete, which uses sports and play to enhance child and youth development and to build community capacity. PDCN use the transformative “Power Of Play” to educate and empower children facing adversity. Through sports and games PDCN helps children build essential life skills and better future.
PDCN is presenting a Basketball Training program for youths and school kids for the holistic development of sports in Nepal. All profit from the training program will be used on developing sports facilities and sports programs for deprived children in rural Nepal.
This training program has professional National Team players as trainers and coach. Our team of coach are:
Sadhish Pradhan - Captain, Nepal National Basketball Team
Sadina Shrestha - Captain, Women National Basketball Team
Sushil Gurung - National Player
Binod Shrestha- National Player
Ketan Khadka - National Player
Utsav Chand - Coach
Our First intake will start from 13th August 2016, and will be for 8 weeks (2months). We will have training sessions every saturday on venues around Kathmandu and Patan areas.
So far, we have secured following venues:
St-Xavier School, Jawlakhel, Patan
Himalayan White House College, Baneshwor, Kathmandu.
Kathmandu International School, Chabil, Kathmandu
Golfutar Basketball Court, Golfutar, Kathmandu
Our admission fee is Rs. 1200 per month. (For 4 sessions).
