You're very welcome here, especially since I never heard "our" KTM
glKrad 250 had also been in service of the Irish army, cool indeed! As
for parts and such, all I can goodheartedly suggest is http://www.enduroklassiker.at
, I hope their english is sufficient, be sure to check their "Kontakt/
Anfrage" page.
I can tell you about my machine. It's quite in original state, only
chain and cogs have been replaced. My clutch is rather nasty, and
needs some fine handling with the gas to keep it locked with the
gears. I assume yours is half automatic too? I bought mine last
october and have ridden it since then for almost 4000km by now. I did
have quite some highlights with it, like the Erzberg event, pictures
here: http://picasaweb.google.com/gilbert.havlik/Erzberg2007 (I must
add that my glKrad was older than most of the other riders in the
field...), and a week later the Toyrun, a beneficial event with
thousands of motorbike convoying through eastern Austria. Currently
it's the only vehicle I have, but it's great! Isn't it? ;)
We would love to here about yours, maybe you can post some pictures
here with your reply so we can identify any differences from our own
bikes, and maybe, just out of curiosity, you happen to have some kind
of Irish military insignia or symbols? It would very cool to see any
of those on the KTM glKrad 250!
Greets, glBert!
thank you
