HIGHLIGHT of the WEEK
Citizenship Day turnout was the busiest ever, and we look forward to
providing an update soon on the numbers served, and volunteer efforts
that took place to organize (and keep organized) this annual event at
Skagit Valley College.

5PM Monday, Feb 7th “Skagit Talks”
Learn about social problems such as juvenile crime, why it happens and
solutions to reduce occurences.

8-10PM Monday, Feb 7th “All Around the World Music Show”
Be an armchair traveler with Program Host, Stuarto Glasser, to hear
music and musings with a worldly reflection.

5PM Tuesday, Feb 8 “Skagit Talks”
Did you know the YMCA Organization is celebrating it’s 100th
Anniversary? Find out what this venerable organization has planned
for the next 100 years…

5PM Tuesday, Feb 8th “House Music”
There’s no better music to have on in your house, be it an apartment
or mansion, then House Music with Program Host, Ben Nason.

5PM Wednesday, Feb 9th “Speak Up! Speak Out!”
Ginny talks with more people involved with the Envision Skagit 2060
project.

7PM Wednesday, Feb 9th “Documentary Hour”
Profile in Peace: A conversational profile of Ralph Bunche - a
sometimes overlooked African-American who excelled in the world of
diplomacy. Bunche negotiated tirelessly across the globe for the
United Nations for over 25 years after World War 2, winning a Nobel
Peace Prize for peacemaking work in the Middle East and helping to
bring independence from colonial rule to many Africans and Asians.

8-10PM Wed Feb 9th “The Blue Boulevard”
Start off a blues-filled evening with this locally produced program,
focused on local, regional and global blues and Americana music,
produced by Program Host Jax and special guests!

Midnight Documentary (midnight Wednesday) "Truckin' the
Blues Away" This music-rich hour-long special introduces listeners to
the stories and sounds of four older Southern bluesmen. The musicians
cover a wide swath of the South: Boo Hanks from Virgilina, Va.;
Captain Luke from Winston-Salem, N.C.; Eddie Tigner from Atlanta; and
Little Freddie King from New Orleans.
