5PM Wednesday, March 23 “Speak Up! Speak Out!”
Dave interviews the organizers of the (upcoming) final night of the
8th Skagit Human Rights Festival. The movie 'Out in the Silence'
describes a gay high school student coming out in a small rural
community in Pennsylvania.

7PM Wednesday, March 23 “Documentary Hour” Jeff Sharlet is the only
journalist to have reported from inside the secretive, powerful and
super-reactionary christian fundamentalist cabal known as "The Family"
and their "C Street" house. Jeff has been writing and reporting on the
influence and impact of American Christian fundamentalists, including
within the US government and the command structure of the US military.

Midnight Documentary (midnight) In general, most European Americans
don't have a real dialogue with Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans,
or Native Americans, and the dialogue with African Americans, while
better, still has a ways to go.
Broadway and Hollywood entertainment at its best is part of the
conversation, telling stories while treating the characters as real
individuals with different cultural experiences. At its worst, shows
and musical films continue thoughtless stereotypes. 
Today's show
explores some of those stereotypes in past and present shows. And it's
going to disturb some listeners.

Ever find yourself traveling out of the signal area for KSVR once you
reach Sedro Woolley? Give KSVU at 90.1 at try! For the next week (or
so) as you travel east on Highway 20, you might be surprised to hear
KSVR-type music and programs come in loud and clear, from Sedro-
Woolley towards Rockport. What you’re really hearing is KSVR
programming on KSVU, as we continue to test out the signal and
equipment. This might just be the excuse you need to get on the road
and head East…

The 3rd night of the Human Rights Festival is almost here –plan to
attend the premiere screening of “Lunch Line” and listen to a panel of
food activists, on Thursday, March 24th at the Lincoln Theatre in
Mount Vernon. KSVR is proud to be a co-sponsor of this event, be sure
