5PM Monday, May 23 "Skagit Talks"
An interview with a farmer who recently participated in the Incubator
Program at Viva Farms in Skagit County.
8-10PM Monday, May 23rd "Jazz Mondays"
Explore the many adventurous and contemporary genres of Jazz with KSVR/
KSVU Station Manager, Rip Robbins. Listen to jazz from icons and
newer artists, or call in with your requests to 416-7000.
5PM Tuesday, May 24 "Skagit Talks"
A special look at the ESL Program at Mount Vernon High School, as new
arrivals to America express their dreams with words and music.
8-10PM Tuesday, May 24 "House Music"
Local KSVR DJ Ben Nason is in the house, ready to fill your house,
car, boat or plane speakers with varied house music sounds.
5PM Wednesday, May 25 "Speak Up! Speak Out!"
A locally produced program focused on social justice issues, produced
by the People For A Peaceable Planet Collective, unique to KSVR Radio!

Let's eat and listen to music at the same time! Here is the latest
"Foosic" from Chef Stuarto, with music to match, called "Hey Grandma"
by Moby Grape.
Foosic of the week
Chef Stuarto's Veggie Burgers
Ingredients:
2 cups of cooked brown rice
1/4 sweet onion diced
1/4 cup of corn
1 beaten egg
3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
4 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons of oats
1/3 cup of grated carrots
1/4 cup of panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of oregano
1/4 cup of grated romano cheese
avocado slices
Directions:
In a big bowl blend all the ingredients gently together
Use your hands to thoroughly mix
Form the mix into patties about 5 inches around and 1/2 an inch thick
Place individually in wax paper and let them sit in the fridge for 1
hour before cooking
You can cook them several ways
In a frying pan with a hint of vegetable oil until brown on both sides
On a grill on nice coals( not on flame)
In the oven at 350 for 12 minutes
Top with the avocado and serve as you would with lettuce, tomato,
grilled mushrooms,pickles
mayo and ketchup on a nice bun and you may never eat a regular burger
again!
