8-10PM Thursday, January 20th “Massive Mix Session”
This week bringing about the end of the inquest hearing into the
shooting death of Northwest Coast Native carver John T. Williams at
the hands of Seattle Police Officer Ian Birk. We welcome back to the
air Managing Director Fern Renville of Seattle Native American non-
profit Red Eagle Soaring. Fern who's been at the inquest hearing all
week will give us some of the latest info about this case, and some of
the police and also community response in the wake of the shooting.
Also feel free to call in to the studio at 416-7000 with comments and
questions at any point during our live broadcast.

5PM Friday, January 21 “Skagit Talks”
Expand your gardening knowledge, by listening to Master Gardener, June
Billinghurt, as interviewed by Dave Johnson.

8:30PM Sunday, January 23, “Best of Skagit Talks”
Two interviews, one show. The first portion of Skagit Talks covers an
interview with family and friends of violent crime victims, the second
portion is focused on an interview about the guardian ad lidum
program.

Thanks to all who attended the recent Martin Luther King Celebration,
at Skagit Valley College. The next KSVR co-sponsored event is
“Citizenship Day” taking place on Febraury 5th at Skagit Valley
College in Mount Vernon. If you know of people contemplating
citizenship, this event is an opportunity to meet with experienced
volunteer immigration attorneys and interpreters, and get free
assistance with citizenship applications. Saturday, Feb 5th from
