Welcome to the mid-week update of KSVR Word Waves, your guide to
what's happening on KSVR 91.7FM!

SPRING FUND DRIVE UPDATE
Volunteers and program producers have rallied together to express the
value of community radio and the needs to keep it running
successfully! With so many great causes out there, we hope more
people will choose to support KSVR, as the Spring Fund Drive
progresses over the next three days.

8-10PM Wednesday, May 4th "Blue Boulevard"
Host Jackson Stewart is sure to have a special fund-drive jazzy
special lined up, be sure to tune in and show your support for local
and live programming on KSVR and KSVU!

5PM Thursday, May 5th "Skagit Talks"
Take a virtual journey to Padilla Bay Reserve, with Educator Glen
Alexander, interviewed by Dave Johnson.

7PM Thursday, May 5 "Alternative Radio"
In 1915, the Turkish government launched a premeditated organized
campaign to eliminate the millennia-old Armenian people from their
traditional homeland in what is now southeastern Turkey. The Turkish
officials responsible for the genocide were never brought to account.
On tonight's show, Araxie Barsamian, survivor of that genocide, and
Robert Fisk, Middle East correspondent for "The Independent," discuss
the reasons the Turkish government as never acknowledged the event.

8-10PM Thursday, May 5th "The Massive Mix Session"
DJ DefKawn is sure to have his own version of a hip-hop special,
celebrating and promoting the Spring Fund Drive. His high energy

8-10PM Friday, May 6th "All Around the World Music Show with Stuarto"
Food, music and more, on this unique program with Chef Stuarto, who
might throw money into the mix, and it's importance for keeping
creativity alive on KSVR!

6:30AM Saturday, May 7th "Latino Special"
Immigration reform is the hot button issue in the U.S. On this
edition of our Latino Special, people who've risked their lives to
enter the U.S. undocumented share their personal stories of why they
came, and what they hope for their futures and the future of
immigrants in this country.
