Welcome to this weeks edition of KSVR Word Waves -a short and simple
guide to what's happened and what's happening on KSVR, 91.7FM,
Community Radio for the Skagit Valley.

KSVR Financial
Puget Sound Energy has renewed their financial support of KSVR, making
an $8000 donation. SOON, as in October 19-23rd, you can show your
support of community radio by joining or renewing your KSVR
membership, during the KSVR fall on-air fund-drive.

KSVR in the Community
We've got volunteers coming in the door to help us out -but can always
use a few more helping hands. If you have time to spare -consider
helping out to organize the KSVR music library, reading public service
announcements over the airwaves, or helping to develop new locally
produced programs.
Interested? Contact Station Manager, Dave McConnell at 416-7710.

This past Saturday, KSVR volunteers and staff recorded citizen
activists sharing their support or concerns prior to the honoring of
television personality Glenn Beck at McIntyre Hall. A documentary
will be pieced together and aired on KSVR in the future.

KSVR now has a radio club on the campus of Skagit Valley College!
Interested students or faculty should contact club president, Ben
Nason, about opportunities to become involved, at
benjami...@skagit.edu.
