Burt Cohen interviews Author Douglas Blackmon. Mr Blackmon dispels
the myth that slavery ended with the civil war. The truth is that
tens of thousands of African Americans were enslaved by major
American businesses from "emancipation" until World War II.
Midnight Documentary (midnight) Wednesday December 15, 2010
The "Juke In The Back" features the legendary Ray Charles 1953
rehearsal tapes. This is Ray at his most raw as he learns some new
tunes that he will soon record at his second Atlantic session. These
rehearsal tapes represent Ray at a crossroads in his early career as
he begins to develop his own unique musical style.

Juan Copala, Peace Caravan deaths, political and social crises in
Oaxaca.

Just in time for the holidays, learn how to prepare Kulibeika with
Chef Martin Hahn of the Culinary Arts Program at Skagit Valley
College.

KSVR is seeking several dedicated listeners to serve as part of a
“KSVR Advisory Council” to tune in to programs, both locally and
regionally produced, and offer constructive feedback. Meeting will be
held quarterly, to discuss suggestions and criticisms received, so
that we can continue to strive for quality programming here at KSVR
Radio. Please consider being a part of this community effort, by
sharing why you’d like to be a part of the Advisory Council, if you
