Hi Guys,

it cost me a lot of sleep but I managed to finalize a version 1.26 and upload to the server.
Please post Bug reports / ideas here!

A few changes:
1. UI: There is a dark mode, now. Switch in "Window -> use dark mode"
2. Usage of two Chatcategories at the same time (MAIN CHANGE)
3. opposite station multi-callsign login-tagging
4. Some beauty-bugfixes
Short clip of the new workflow: https://youtu.be/Iq9rA9Nxxx4
(QRG value issue is fixed 9 hours ago...)
1.) There are 2 CSS files in the package. By modifying the color codes, you could change the coloring by yourself.
2.) You are able to login with 1 program session, one callsign, one password to (at this time two) chatcategories.
Thats a big thing for stations like DM5M which uses only one chat computer and of course for all multiband single-operator stations.
All stations and their messages will be displayed in one userlist and one message list.
If you answert to a message, KST4Contest will decide for you, where to send the message.
The communication is filtered as usual.
The features (Airplane info, frequency detection, shortcuts, own cq like beacons etc.) of KST4Contest are as usual but for two categories now.
That made the change to two Chatcategories so complicated.
Much of the architecture of KST4Contest had to be redesigned.
There had been 50 lines of things which I featured out to change.
Thatswhy i call the v1.26 a beta.
I am very sure that all is working fine as most of the tests are automated but there had been very big amount of changes.

I checked the software very, very carefully but would be glad if some of my good HAM friends will check if everything works fine.
Of course the manual have to be updated. I will do that next week. But the most of the functions are well known and you will understand the configuration changes for the new one automatically.
Note that you may should backup your old configfile in order to save your button changes etc.
Much of the changes some people wished are still in the pipe and not forgotten.

--CU in MAY CONTEST saturdays! Of course I will use the v1.26

Hi @all,

IZ3NOC reported a bug which I noticed also in the may contest.
So, 1.26 had really been a beta ....

Description:
Chatmessages are freezing after some time (now new messages are arriving while the client still stays logged in)

Most possible reason for the problem:
Yesterday I runned the program while the contest was running and I think that my first idea had been the right one.
If there are messages in the chat which are written by chatters instantly after login, the ON4KST server propagates this message instantly.

So, whats the matter?
In such cases the propagation of "chatter logged in" arrives some time AFTER he sent a message.
I noticed that some time before and catched this error without problems.
Due to the change of the architecture from v1.25 to 1.26 this behaviour of the server crasehes my "message processing bus" which then will not update the message windows with new content.

Solution:
Catch such lines and draw their content to the message window but don´t send these lines through the messageprocessor engine.
I will work that out in the next days, check it again and then publish a new version without this errror, called 1.261.

As there are some other things to do till friday, I fix it maybe mondays and give it a new live session in next nac.

Hey @all,

bugfix is now uploaded and tested in 2 times NAC for 6 hours without any problems. All should work fine now, except some beauty changes ... for example that the login-names are not saved if you change it. I will fix this during the next version.

Please note that the 1.262 is still a beta until I hardened it at the june contest under really hard conditions and high chat traffic ... Of course I am simulating such but some things in the real chat protocol are not covered by my simulations (for example messages of chatters which are not logged in, hi).

Hi @all,

I runned the client several hours now, all seems to work fine. So it had been time to fix some other things, which Mats and Kreso told me before (sorry for waiting, Mats).

The shema of AS-calculation messages from KST4Contest to Airscout had been changed due to some reports of Mats Helgöstam and other nice OMs who wasn´t able to track AP by the button.

Before:
EACH entry of the userlist had been sent to AirScout for AS plane path calculation in 12s intervals.
EACH entry of the userlist had been added to the AirScout map.

New in v1.263:
Only entries of the userlist with a QRB lower than the setted max-QRB will be sent to AirScout for AS plane path calculation in 60s intervals.
Only entries of the userlist with a QRB lower than the setted max-QRB will be added to the AS map.

Fixed first:
By changing the AS communication there is a huge decrease of the amount of messages which have to be queued by AS and also a huge decrease of the calculation operations of AS. That most likely will speed up also the issue of the very laggy "track in AS"-button. And also it will save a lot of computing power. The new 1min interval seems to be enough.

Second: Name in chat is now saveable, whoohoo!

Third: Some beauty fixes before and after login (visibiity of fields)

4th: Fixed issue which 9A2HM / Kreso told me.
The name of the AS client had been hard wired to "KST" and the AS servers name had been hard wired to "AS", which results out of a time where I never mentioned to publish this client. It´s now fixed, so that the name-preferences will have a real effect.... 73 / DO5AMF

There is still a 20 entry feature request list which I will follow up next as the known issues now should been solved completely.
