NEWS RELEASE

KSP Investigating Fatal Shooting in Muhlenberg County

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) – On December 1, 2019 at approximately 5:22 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville responded to a call of a shooting that occurred around the 3000 block of State Route 176 in Muhlenberg County.

Preliminary investigation revealed George Rudy Cundiff, 70, of Greenville, KY was in a domestic altercation with his son, Christopher Seth Cundiff, 42, also of Greenville, KY. During the altercation, George Cundiff shot Christopher Cundiff. Christopher was transported to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

George Cundiff was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where he was charged with Murder- Domestic Violence. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police, Post 2 Madisonville.
