KSP Arrests Sturgis Man
Providence, KY (Webster County) – On December 1, 2019 at approximately 10:04 AM, Trooper Ridge Porter of Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville observed a male operating a 2000 Buick Park Avenue while not wearing his seatbelt.
Trooper Porter initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle where he came in contact with the operator, identified as Roy Morgan, 40, of Sturgis, KY. Further investigation revealed Morgan was operating under the influence, Trooper Porter discovered suspected methamphetamine inside his vehicle.
Roy Morgan was arrested and lodged in the Webster County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:
1.) Failure to Wear Seatbelts
2.) Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation
3.) DUI 1st
4.) Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 3rd or > Offense (Methamphetamine)
