Three Arrested after KSP Traffic Stop
Dawson Springs, KY (Christian County) – On January 6, 2020 at approximately 7:25 PM, Trooper Ridge Porter, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, observed a 1993 Cutlass Oldsmobile fail to use its turn signal before turning onto East Keigan Street in Dawson Springs.
Trooper Porter initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle after also observing the vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as, Stephanie Clark, age 28, of Dawson Springs, KY. Also in the vehicle were passengers Antony Clark, age 25, of Dawson Springs, and Debra Clark, age 52, of Dawson Springs. Through further investigation, Trooper Porter discovered all three occupants of the vehicle were under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and found Antony Clark to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Stephanie Clark was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center where she was charged with the following:
1.) Failure to or Improper Signal
2.) Careless Driving
3.) Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Ins/Sec, 1st Off
4.) DUI 2nd
5.) Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation
6.) Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited
Antony Clark was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:
1.) Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
2.) Possession Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or > Offense (Methamphetamine)
3.) Menacing
4.) Giving Officer False Identifying Information
Debra Clark was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center where she was charged with Public Intoxication- Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
