Job Title:  Data Architect
Location: Hybrid- Austin, TX - 78751
Job Type: Long-term Contract
Client: State of Texas

Job Description
  • Create blueprints for data flow, storage, and access across systems.
  • Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy.
  • Design data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support business needs.
  • Develop and maintain normalized and denormalized data models.
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise data models, data integration strategies, and metadata management
  • Define and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and policies.
  • Guide the implementation of data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data pipelines.
  • Optimize database schemas for performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
  • Define and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and policies.
  • Develop procedures for handling sensitive data, classifications, and security.
  • Define data and analytical architecture for Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data teams.
  • Propose Business semantics layer model to enhance reporting and analytics data feeds.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills is a must.

  • Data Warehouse
  • Data Architect
  • ETL / ELT tool, SSIS
  • Data Modeling
  • SQL Server or other RDBMS
  • BI tools (ex: Power BI)
  • Metadata, Data Quality
  • Data Lake house architecture
  • Data pipelines
  • Snowflake or Cloud data platform
  • Data handling (PII, HIPAA)
  • Data API (ex: Mule soft)
