Hi all,
I want to share about the academic way to write references in order to save you from plagiarism J,
You have to use it when writing your assignment paper, final project, thesis, dissertation, journals, etc
The regulation list are as follows:
1. When placed a picture or table and it is not your invention, then you should write the source:
a. Table, put it before the table, for example: Table 1. Parameter List (source: Mulyana, 2012: 7)
i. Mulyana is the last name of the reference author
ii. He published the reference in 2012
iii. The table in the reference is located on page 7
b. Image, put it after the image, for example: Image 1. Zachman Framework 3.0 (source: zachman.com, 2012)
i. Zachman.com is the website location
ii. The website page is published in 2012, the exact date usually showed up in the bibliography, if the date is not there then write “n.d.”
iii. If you cited more than 1 references from zachman.com, then you should write 2012a, 2012b, and so on
2. When you write bibliography after the last content (usually conclusions and recommendations), please differ and group the types of reference according to their academic value sequentially and write it as follows (pay attention to the italic words):
a. Journals, for example: Mulyana, Rahmat (2012). “Maximizing the Value of IT Investment based on Strategic Alignment, Risk Control and Real Options: a Case Study of Enteprise System Implementation at PT. Pegadaian (Persero),” Indonesia Journal of Business Administration, vol. 44, pp. 007-013.
b. Dissertations, for example: Rahmad, Basuki (2010). “Information Security Risk Analysis by Considering Threats and Controls Scenario as Likelihood and Impact Reductor,” Bandung, ID: ITB.
c. Thesis, for example: Mulyana, Rahmat. (2007). “Generic Framework Development for e-Government Performance Management,” Bandung, ID: ITB.
d. Final Projects, for example: Mulyana, Rahmat. (2004). “Centralized User Management System Development based on LDAP,” Bandung, ID: ITB.
e. Books, for example: Mulyana, Rahmat. (2012). “IT Governance and Management based on COBIT 5 and ISO 38500,” Bandung, ID: Penerbit ITB.
f. Internal Documents, for example: Pegadaian, PT. (2012c). “Laporan Tahunan 2011,” Jakarta, ID: Pegadaian.
g. Interviews, for example: Zachman, John, Personal Interview by Rahmat Mulyana, October 11th 2012.
h. Websites, for example: Zachman, John, “Zachman Framework 3.0,” August 17th 2012, http://www.zachman.com, accessed in October 11th 2012.
3. When using a reference in a reference then you should mention both of them, for example: According to Mulyana in Rahmad (Rahmad, 2010: 50). It is mean that you cited what Rahmat Mulyana point of view which is located in Basuki Rahmad’s document, year 2010, page 50
4. When you cited a lot of words from a reference then you should put it in a sentence, for example: “a lot of words (Mulyana, 2012: 7)”
That’s all, hopefully you’ll get the most benefit from this one,
please share it with your friends ok...
So, no more blank bibliography in your paper ok! J
Happy writing!
Godspeed

kartikoedhi | No Tiko, don’t worry,
But seeing the habit not put biblio/references on your academic paper eventually will lead to the issue, though not intentional (hopefully)… J
