I am filling out an application for employment and for each entry in the Employment History section they ask for Initial Rate of Pay and Final Rate of Pay. This will be a career change for me and they probably will not even pay the Initial Rate of Pay at my previous job. Should I list my previous salary as Per Year of should I break it down to Per Month of even Per Week?

Dear BJMers:

This morning I accepted an accounting job from a small real estate company!  I'm very excited about my new opportunity.

BJM is a wonderful ministry!  I attended many helpful workshops and spoke with many people who shared their wisdom with me.  I would like to give a special thanks the following people for their help and encouragement over the last few months:

    Ed Bacon (for his advice)
Jim Armstrong (for his resume class)
Dr. Roy Farmer (for his encouragement)
    John Edge (for his advice)
Nick Muhlbauer (for his networking class)
Beth Smith (for her funny, encouraging and inspirational devotions)
the ZIP group (for their advice) and
Jim Sandham (for his resume help).

I would like to thank Steve Riddell, too.  I went to his interviewing- workshop the day before my interview.  I took his advice to heart and I closed the interview with "Is there anything that would prevent me from getting this job?"   I was offered the position less than 24 hours from my interview.

In the end, I would like to offer my encouragement to those still trying to find the right opportunity.  I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Lastly, a funny thing happened along my journey...I became closer to God.  I relied on Him when I felt depressed and when I thought that I would never find a job.  Amen!

Sincerely,

Rosi Erichsen
