Plano company needs temporary contract HR Employee Relations person. Hours 8am-5pm. Pay $24.00/HR. The purpose of this position is to coordinate employee relations programs and functions. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will work with multiple departments within the
organization to provide advice to supervisors, managers and employees in a wide variety of areas including conflict resolution, policy development and performance management.
Investigate problems, such as disciplinary actions, employee and applicant appeals, and grievances. Accountable for resolving employee relations issues through effective support, consultation, and investigations.
Interpret, uphold and enforce company policies and guidelines related to business and workplace conduct.
Prepare disciplinary action records and performance improvement action plans.
Facilitate and review exit interviews and employee surveys to determine retention problem areas. Identify trends and high risk findings with appropriate resolution.
Assist with the development of course content and supervisor/manager training on employee relations issues.
Collaborate with and provide consultative services to all employee levels within the
organization.
Recommend budget allocations and assists in preparing budget documents.
Orient new employees regarding company policies and procedures. Review and inform employees of position responsibilities and what is expected of them in the way of performance results and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field highly desirable; PHR certification preferred; 5+ years HR Generalist or related experience with a heavy emphasis on Employee Relations; Working knowledge of Federal and State laws that govern fair employment practices (ex: EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc..); Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that will promote lasting change within the organization; Demonstrated skill in coaching, problem solving, conflict resolution and employee relations investigations; Commitment to confidentiality with the ability to elicit the

I recently received a call from the above client asking if we could possibly assist them in their search for a new HR Manager. Pro-Health is in the business of planting, harvesting, packaging and distributing potatoes. They operate in Texas, Colorado and Nebraska, with their corporate office being in Carrollton Texas. The organization employes approx. 200 people. This is an immediate opening as the current HR Manager’s last day is the 19th of this month.

Human Resource Generalist
Kohler Company’s World Class manufacturing plant in Brownwood, Texas is seeking to add a HR Generalist. This HR Generalist will provide support to the 1000+ associates on site and three main manufacturing facilities.
Nature of
Position
1. Primary Purpose: To support Company strategic objectives by delivering conscientious quality service to all levels within the Organization. To continually invest in our most valuable assets, our employees, by educating to maximize contributions, enhance growth opportunities and seek new talent. To support and maintain the Union-Free status of the facility.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide support for employment, compliance, compensation, training, employee relations and union avoidance activities as required.
2. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management to insure adequate coverage of staffing needs; schedule and conduct interviews of non-exempt, exempt applicants; coordinates development of effective training program(s) as required; oversees development/ maintenance of
effective working relationships within Kohler and external agencies
3. Identify and analyze employee relations issues, taking appropriate action to correct such problems; resolve employee grievances; conduct HR investigation of harassment claims; counsel employees on disciplinary actions, disputes with co-workers or supervisors and performance problems and record all supporting documentation
4. Implement policies and procedures in adherence to Federal and State laws, in conjunction with Company policies and procedures; train management and staff in HR/Company policies and procedures; advise management and enforce unilateral consistency
5. Administer the Authorized Corporate Transaction process including salary administration, promotions, terminations, and transfers including the maintenance of all exempt personnel
records.
6. Administer the performance appraisal process and provide input to management to insure actions meet guidelines and provide unilateral consistency
7. Assist in periodic update of Associate Handbook, Supervisory Manual, plant practices, and procedures and communicate changes to employees.
8. Facilitate the preparation of the plant newsletter and other company communications.
9. Supervise associate recreational activities.
5. Minimum Job Qualifications
1. Education: A BS/BA in HR (or related field) is required: PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
2. Directly-Related Previous Experience: HR Generalist experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in HR Generalist role
preferred. Experience in both Union and Union-Free manufacturing is preferred.
3. Skills Requirement: Candidate must be a self-directed team player and have computer proficiency (i.e. Windows-based applications, Excel spreadsheets, Power Point, etc.). Candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with ability to explain HR policies and procedures and actions taken. Ability to discuss issues that may be controversial and sensitive or where variation in interpretation is possible. Ability to work independently and perform detailed work while exercising analytical, independent judgment and discretion. Ability to achieve results under tight deadlines. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
