FIRST Seattle Alumni and Friends,
The 2011 Seattle FIRST Regional Competition is coming up fast on March 17 - March 19.
You are receiving this email because you are a past FIRST Judge or were asked or recommended for the panel by Kevin Ross, Deb Mumm-Hill, Michael Campbell, or myself. I want to personally emphasize the importance of your participation this year. We have 99 teams registered (yes 99!). Our event is so big that we are running a double regional with two fields back to back in the much larger Quest Field Events Center. This means we need 52 judges for two separate judge panels. Please considering inviting other leaders and technical staff from your organizations to apply.

Microsoft Seattle FRC Regional (Olympic and Cascade)
Location: Qwest Field Event Center, Seattle, WA
Dates: Thursday, March 17 – Saturday, March 19
Time Commitment: Thursday night dinner 7p-8:30p, Friday and Saturday 7a-5p
To register please visit https://my.usfirst.org/FIRSTPortal/Login/vims_login.aspx, login (see below if you do not have an account), and update your contact and event information.
To register:
1. Once logged in, choose Preferences from the left side menu then click the Add a Volunteer Role button.
2. Choose the following:
> Program: FRC
> State/Province: Washington
...then press Search
3. A list will appear. Click on Select on the line showing Seattle Olympic Regional (doesn't really matter though)
4. A new window will appear.
a. Scroll down through the list on the left and click once on Judge.
b. Click on the Add button. It should appear as your First Selection on the right.
c. Check the Thursday, Friday and Saturday check boxes.
d. Click the Apply for Selected Roles button.
e. You should get a confirmation screen after that.
5. You should also get a confirmation email from the VIMS system when you are successfully signed up. If you do not get a confirmation email please contact me right away.
If you do not have an account, please click on the Create Account button under the New Volunteers heading then complete the registration steps described above.
If you are new to the FIRST volunteer registration process, you will need the following before filling out the on-line forms:
1. Contact information for two references. Please accumulate current and accurate telephone number(s) and e-mail addresses for these.
2. Inform the references that they will be receiving a call from our FIRST screeners and that their prompt reply is important to the application process.
