Woonjong, how is your life there in Qatar. Of course, I assume everything is very nice, and warm. Seattle is rainy and dark in these days as it is winter time here. I just came back from family vacation to far south US, Caribbean islands. Snow blizzard headache in Eastern US was also affecting our flight back to Seattle since it was via JFK New York airport. We luckily got a detour re-route to Chicago.

Well, here in Seattle, we are doing chapter events some more actively this year 2010.

I also, once in a while, miss you. You helped a lot, especially, NMSC was your great big contributing event. Hope you have some chance to visit Seattle again and see you that time.

Subject: SEAWA Chapter 2010 year-end party and membership drive

Dear SEAWA (Seattle Washington) Chapter Leaders,

Thanks for your efforts to organize such a great Seattle Washington Chapter year-end party.

The membership drive effort was well paid off with this event; now exceeding 100.

This record is the second highest among all Chapters next to San Diego Chapter. I strongly encourage you to beat the number.

1)      Congratulations on your achievement of KSEA local Chapter membership over 100 (as of Dec. 17) in the first half of 39th administration.

Our next goal is to reach 200 in the second half.   To achieve this goal, I suggest we can target the following groups;

a.      UW – 50 (led by Jaehong Chon, Nora Lee, and Michelle Lee and their designees)

b.      Boeing – 50 (led by Sun Min Chung and his designees)

c.      Microsoft – 50 (led by Heonmin Lim and his designees)

d.      Local High Tech Companies – 50 (led by Junho Cha and his designees)

2)      Officially formed SEAWA YG Chapter and elected YG Chapter President and Staff.

a.      President  Nora Lee

b.      Founding Staff – Michelle (HQ YG Director), Sun Min  Jung

3)      KSEA Chapter contribution awards Jaehong Chon, Wookuen Shin, Nora Lee (YG Chapter President), Michelle (HQ YG Director), Sun Min Jung

4)      Chapter President (Heonmin Lim) and VP (Wookuen Shin) should submit a Chapter report to KSEA HQ ASAP and be prepared to present it at Mid-Term Council Meeting in January 2011.

5)      SEAWA YG helps organize 1.5 day local YG activity at YGTLC 2011  (led by Michelle Lee, Sun Min Jung, Nora lee).

6)      Finalized a technical program for SEAWA Quarterly Topical Seminar Series meeting

a.      1Q Seminar – January 29, 2011 (Program organizer: Heonmin Lim/Wookuen Shin)

b.      2Q Seminar – April 2011 (Program organizer: Heonmin Lim/Wookuen Shin)

c.      3Q Seminar – July 2011 (Program organizer: Wookuen Shin/TBD)

d.      4Q Seminar – October 2011 (Program organizer: Wookuen Shin/TBD)

7)      Organized SEAWA NMSC 2011 Committee  (led by Heonmin Lim, Wookuen Shin)

Again, I appreciate your volunteerism to help members, YG, and local communities as well as yourself.

I am very proud of and love all of you. You should be also proud of yourself being part of this great effort.

Wishing you very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!

Hope we can meet again before the end of this year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
