Dear KSEA Members,

We are very pleased to announce the 10K Business Venture Challenge as part of the US-Korea Conference 2013 to be held on August 7 - 10, 2013, in East Rutherford, NJ.

This year marks the second consecutive year in which this program is being hosted at an annual KSEA conference. In previous years, we had top quality applicants participate and compete in our program, and receive micro-seed funding to help bring their ideas to market and help them in their entrepreneurial journey.

The 10K Business Venture Challenge is supported by KSEA, as part of the mentorship and guidance it provides to the various KSEA chapters across the country. Each year, hundreds of undergraduate students, graduate students, and young professionals from all of the United States and Canada apply to attend the annual KSEA conferences to share knowledge and inspire leadership. This is a rare opportunity to meet young generation scientists, technology leaders as well as domain experts and mentors, experience Korean culture, and exchange ideas with fellow entrepreneurs.

We are now accepting applications for the 10K Business Venture Challenge. The event is part of the UKC 2013 conference, and participants will receive a stipend to partially cover meals, lodging, and travel. Eligibility:

At least one member of the team must be of Korean ethnicity, and all team members must be residents of the U.S., Canada, or Korea. If successful in the screening round, all members must register for the UKC 2013 conference.


Deadlines:

Application Deadline (extended): May 31, 2013 for business plan submissions (11:59 PM EST)
