KSEA is pleased to announce the '2012 KSEA Young Investigator Grant'

degree and been working in academia, industry, or government. This
grant is designed to recognize those who have demonstrated the
outstanding early career development as a young investigator whose
achievement in science or technology areas is outstanding within the
context of the mission of KSEA. Each year two (2) young investigators
are awarded; preferably one (1) from Academia and one (1) from
Industry or Government research lab.

Eligibility: An eligible applicant needs to be a KSEA member in
his/her early careers no longer than 5 calendar years after earning a
Ph.D. degree.

should be submitted to KSEA Headquarters via email sej...@ksea.org by
March, 1st, 2012. Please find the attached application form.

submitted application form, (2) technology development plan, and (3)

Awards Committee in collaboration with Technical Group Councilors.

Administration: In addition to the $10,000 award, a travel
reimbursement of up to US$1,000 is provided for travel and
accommodation to support recipients to attend the Grants ceremony. The
KSEA Young Investigator Grant is presented at the end of May, 2012 at
the KSEA Headquarters.

Requirement of Grant Recipients: Each grant recipient is required to
establish a contract through his/her institution so that KSEA can
award through his/her institution, and not directly to the recipient.

achievements of science and/or engineering and the expenditure
directly to KSEA.

Announcement of Grant Recipients: KSEA Webpage, newspapers, or email.
