Spring/Summer Outings - June 11 & 12 - Miami County

We are excited to announce we have finalized plans for the KNPS 2022 Spring Summer  Meeting and Outings in Miami County, northeast Kansas.  We have plans to visit Lenora Larson's exquisite butterfly gardens near Paola, botanize on remnant prairies and woodlands near Fontana, explore trails at Hillsdale Lake and hike the bottomlands and hardwood forest acreage at La Cygne Reservoir and Wildlife Area. Join KNPS for native plant explorations in northeast Kansas!

The towns of Paola, Osawatomie and Louisburg offer a wide range of dining options.  Miami County hosts many small farms and fresh food producers, as well vineyards and wine tours. Camping, biking and hiking at Hillsdale Lake, Miola Lake, and Miami State Fishing Lake are available.
